all these modern AUs where the clones are cops or lawyers or whatever are missing the Big Thing about the clones in canon: they come from nothing, earn nothing, and die with nothing. They don't make money (i think?), they have very little rights, and they're fucking expendable.

You know what that is in real life now? That's the fuckin working class! That's minimum wage, no benefits, no overtime! Your front desk attendants, your cashiers, your stockers, your servers, your retail associates!

not to mention, the clones are men of colour, and a large portion of them becoming disabled (via physical disability or PTSD or what-have-you)... you think they're easily finding jobs? And in THIS economy? I hid my disability, played pretend, and I'm still makin jack squat. I've got privilages they don't have! I have a degree--they wouldnt have gotten formal educations in this universe!

in Star Wars, the clones are taken advantage of the whole damn time. you think it's gonna be any different in the real world?

now obviously people break through and stuff. some clones would, too. but by and large... society is made of working class. clones are blue collar through and through and damn its actually nice to see it.

in a world with an aftg show (because it Has to be a show, not a movie) seth would have a Pretty Guy actor playing him who looked even prettier when he was sneering or scowling and people would make edits of him with the velocity + slo-mo effects and be like "i can fix him"

#actually really difficult to find english language info about it. it seems they had like #a system where each performance had a different ending for the different boys LOL #so if you wanted to see kents ending youd have to come on a specific day etc #there was a dvd release which appears to have all the endings included which is neat. another reason to practice my japanese #id definitely like to check out the songs specifically. you know im already tracking down the cd. you KNOW #i do love amnesia. not the greatest game. theres complications with the artist too LOL #but it was a WILD ass game. especially for my first full otome game i had ever played #i still havent played anything else with this intense genre whiplash between routes #i didnt care much for shins romance but i loved his route because it was straight up just a mystery thriller #tomas was a horror and it was awesome obvs #kents was like a sweet and nice little romantic drama #ikki was like a normal showbiz drama complete with darker elements but also hes an accountant for some reason instead of a celebrity #which is really funny to me HKJDSHJKLDADSd and ukyos his own thing going on. his own intensely otome game-ass thing <3 #it was awesome. i need to play more otome games again so many have been released in the past couple years #i need my tonal and genre whiplash. i neeeeeeeeeed it

ngl, doing both a Criterion Collection Challenge and an Anti-Criterion Collection Challenge at the same time on Letterboxd has convinced me to cancel my Criterion Channel subscription lol

#Basically you have to watch 52 movies that match that year's list of prompts over the year #For the Criterion Challenge they are all obvs Criterion Collection movies and for the Anti CC one they are movies not included in the CC #and at some point i realized i was having way more fun with the Anti CC one and rating almost all the Criterion watches as mid #and then i realized it's not so much the Criterion-worthy status that matters and makes it enjoyable #but more that i simply enjoy doing challenges and checking off checklists #And it's not like i haven't found some pretty good watches in the CC either... but you can find just as many elsewhere too #Maybe the thing i like best about the CC streaming service #is that they have lots of those behind the scenes bonus features and interviews that i miss from the DVD owning/renting days #Also it's CRAZY to me that some people have actually watched all 1600+ things in the Criterion Collection!!!#And then you read what they have to say about the experience and they're like 'yeah a lot of it was kinda filler / a waste of time tbh'#omggggg but you still did it anyway?#And dont even get me started on the people who try to physically own the entire collection on DVD......#movies #p

there’s so much i wanna do this week/month/etc but i’m just too sick, i have no energy, i can’t sleep, i’m constantly nauseous and headachey and on the verge of a migraine, i’m stressed and irritable and impatient and panicky…….how tf did i survive nearly 5 years of high school untreated if i can’t even manage this when i don’t have any major obligations rn

#at least i finally got my meds so hopefully i feel a little better soon #although i’m now on 20 pills per day which is Just Great #whenever i’m in remission it’s nice to just. forget sometimes that this can happen at any time #kinda wish i had the typical kinda chronic illness that people talk about with ‘flares’#or at least triggers that i can plan around #the other times have all had an easily identifiable stressor tho tbf. idk what caused this one #the first time was whooping cough and the next few were all very major life stressors like my cat dying right after i started uni #and i think also towards the end of my honours thesis?#but this…….there’s no major stress right now. nothing wildly beyond normal #i’m a little concerned about my joints tho. they’ve been so much worse than normal the last few months #so i’m kinda worried i’m developing rheumatoid arthritis (also an autoimmune disease and it runs in the family specifically)#so if that’s happening then it could set my thyroid off? probably should get to the doctor at some point #obv i’m seeing my endo for thyroid stuff. but i should see my gp and get her to run all the autoimmune blood tests again #i’ve done that before but it’s been a few years and my ankles and knees are so painful i can’t even walk properly a lot of the time #BUT I JUST WANNA DO THINGS I ENJOY AND I CANT AND I WILL CONTINUE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT #‘oh you’re so lucky you don’t have as many obligations because you’re chronically ill’ ha ha ha please swap lives with me immediately #personal #but seriously. i wasn’t diagnosed until i was nearly 17 and we can trace it back to whooping cough when i was 12 #so it was the last half of year 6 and then all of years 7-10 and the start of year 11 of just being. uh. ‘very lazy and complaining a lot’#and TEACHERS joking about me and my sister (who was dealing with an arguably more severe undiagnosed disease) missing so many classes #wow so funny pdhpe teacher who’s supposed to be teaching is about health #and the thing with being a mentally ill teenager is that hyperthyroidism can just look like a very severe anxiety disorder #so i didn’t go to the dr until i was too sick to go to school at all. and luckily had a good dr who did a blood test #i’m just rambling now because i can’t sleep and i don’t wanna lie here doing nothing #might go play pvz or something. that’s been keeping me entertained

#its me and many other people at the summer camp i work at #today i took the morning off because ive been ill for a few weeks #i think the first week was a different illness than the one i currently have tho #i assumed it was what we call 'camp crud' because youre bound to get sick when youre around grimy kids #and living in close quarters with others and not getting enough sleep #but yesterday i felt like shit all day to the point of not being able to stand. so today i took the morning off #just to try and recover a bit. but at lunch my program director came in and said im going to the clinic later #and asked me who else ive noticed is sick #hes making a list because apparently a camper has fucking whooping cough. and its lookng like others might too #i told my sibling i might have whooping cough and they said #'seriously?! are you a street urchin from 1600s Europe?'#which is the worst thing anyone has ever said to me lol. im already on the brink of death and they just kicked me over #im desperately hoping its just crud and not whooping cough #because i have the opportunity to work the zip line this weekend for visiting alumni. with the woman i have feelings for #altogether its going to be a great time so im really hoping i can go. but i obv cant if i have whooping cough #anyway im gonna go back to napping bcuz thats all ive been doing today. that and coughing #if you pray then maybe add me into your prayers today. maybe manifest my health. ive been sick for weeks and i want it to be over

Honestly a fun thing about going all the way through a kpop groups catalogue and seeing all the hair colours they've had over the years is seeing which colours certain members end up going back to again and again, it's cute.

#like with felix its obviously platinum blonde he literally said he feels like a natural blonde and as an unnatural natural blonde #I totally understand him truly about that sentiment lmao #hyunjin also goes back blonde a lot. not platinum tho. he goes more ashy or beachy.#if chan didnt have all the hair troubles i think he would keep going platinum/silver tbh he did that a fair amount and even had it predebut #seungmin is obviously sandy blonde or light brown like seungmin wears that specific shade of blonde so well if i picture him its always tha #like he just suits it and he always seems to go back to it too- light brown as well. like i wont lie golden retriever seungmin is my fave #han obviously is brown. like he always goes back to a lighter/med brown and hes right. looks great on him.#lee know is prob light brown like the goldeny light brown... its the one i notice the most #changbins is natural black obv #innie is harder to pinpoint bc he dyes it a lot but theres not as many repeats #idk its just fun to see preferences poking through #anyway thats my random thought of the day
